True story: I don’t really like swimming.
I’ve had some questions about the origins of my blog name. “Like Swimming” is the name of an album and song by the fantastic and underappreciated band Morphine. The lyrics seem particularly appropriate to describe life: “It’s a lot like swimming, first time over your head. It gets easier when you move your arms and legs.”

Hi there – thank you for some of your hillarious and upltfting comments. I always wanted children (preferably a girl), but after 5 years of trying without success we’ve been blessed with 2 boys (3.5 and 2 years old). It was very difficult (especially the eldest, who had a lot of “internal” issues, but has become a wonderful, loving child during the last month). Thanks for the UFO cake idea – that’s how I found your blog…
